Fruchtwelt Bodensee 2022
The FOX project was presented at the online Fruchtwelt Bodensee 2022 event. Our speakers were
- Dr Kerstin Pasch (project coordinator) outlined the scope of the project.
- Milena Zdravkovic (Food Circle 1 coordinator) dived into the food processing container unit ready for demonstration this year.
- Dr Anna Peschel (FOXLINK app coordinator) launched the FOXLINK app and invited the Bodensee region to download the App.

EFFoST Conference 2021
FOX and SHEALTHY are both projects funded by Horizon2020 under the ‘SFS-16-2018 – Towards healthier and sustainable food’. The projects are ‘Research and Innovation Activities’ and started in parallel in 2019 and will run until 2023.
During the 35th International EFFoST Conference 2021, a session hosted by the two projects gave insights and presented the latest results of the two European projects:
- FOX (Innovative down-scaled food processing in a box)
- SHEALTHY (Non-Thermal physical technologies to preserve fresh and minimally processed fruit and vegetables).
Next to innovative technical solutions, FOX and SHEALTHY have a specific look at new business opportunities for farmers and small-medium sized enterprises, consumer engagement and sustainability aspects.
Ultrasonics 2021
We are proud to announce that Warsaw University of Life Sciences has won an award after presenting FOX results at ULTRASONICS 2021. The prize-winning presentation was about the impact of ultrasound pre-treatment on strawberry microstructure, one of the topics that Food Circle 2 is working on.
LCA Food 2020
On October 13-16, 2020, FOX partners DIL, NUTRIS, Fraunhofer ISI, and KU Leuven, presented several studies within the project at the 12th International Conference on Life Cycle Assessment of Food, virtual from Berlin, Germany.
